Rakuzen Sunday Buffet

I've been "prisoned" almost 3 weeks before this gathering with members of Cari Forum. Staying at home without going anywhere for that long period is suffering ......(Don't ask me why I've been "prisoned" OK :(

This was a really happy & enjoyable makan session where we can chat gao gao, take photo gao gao & for sure eat gao gao!!!!

This Sunday buffet is quite different from others buffet. You no need to walk around to get the food, what u have to do is read the menu & order what you want from the menu, the waiter will serve you up. We can enjoy our food comfortably in the cozy & great ambience.

Assorted starter : Chuka Idako(seasoned baby octopus), Chuka Kurage(seasoned jellyfish), Chuka Chinmi(seasoned scallop), Chuka Wakame(seasoned seaweed) & Kani mayo (crab meat mayonnaise)


Koari-hako kani salada (koari-hako crab salad)


Assorted of fresh sashimi : Maguro(fresh tuna), Shiromi (white meat fish), Sake(salmon), Tako(boiled octopus)
They are so fresh & succulent. You can feel the bouncy-ness of the fish in every bite ..... yummylicious :)

I always fancy this roasted unagi so we order 3 plates of it & each plate they give us a whole unagi , not 1 or 2 pieces of it!!!!

Really not up to my expectation. Taste quite bland & very dry....


Yakimono(assorted skewered grill ): Shishamo(grilled smelt), Yakitori(grilled skewered chicken), Shiitake(grilled mushroom)

Yanagawa Nabe (borduck -simmer beef)
This was so yummy ...the beef was tender in the broth with egg.

And lastly our gathering ended with this super yummy macha(green tea) ice cream....
